2tbspminced fresh basil
1tbspminced fresh oregano
1tbspminced garlic
1 ½tspsalt
1tspground pepper
1egg
½cupalmond flouradd more if meatballs seem too wet
14ozcan of tomato sauce
1 14ozcan of crushed tomatoes
2tspSalt
1tspPepper
1 ¼tspgranulated garlic
1 ¼tspgranulated onion
Instructions
Place all meatball ingredients together in a bowl.
Use the best mixing tool you have-your hands, to combine the ingredients.
Add all of the sauce ingredients together in a pot and place on medium-low heat and then add all of your meatballs. It is ok if the meatballs are not all covered, they will shrink and all of the yummy fat juices will sink into the sauce! Cover the pot and simmer for 40-45 minutes.
About 20 minutes in, mix the meatballs in the sauce.
Enjoy! We like them in our house as a mid-day protein snack but feel free to pair them with your favorite pasta, spaghetti squash or any spiralized vegetable.
