Ingredients

4 ounces, mild or medium

fire roasted tomatoes

black beans
15 ounces each, drained and rinsed

chicken broth
fat-free

limes
juiced

fresh cilantro
optional, chopped
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix the allspice, cayenne pepper, ginger, garlic, salt, red pepper flakes, and pepper together.
Prepare chicken pieces and place them in a large ziploc bag.
Add spices to the chicken and shake to coat.
Place in refrigerator for 2 hours.
Cook according to a preferred method below.
Instant Pot
Add the seasoned chicken, onion, chiles, tomatoes, black beans, chicken broth and lime juice to the Instant Pot.
Stir to combine.
Place lid on the Instant Pot and close.
Close the vent on your Instant Pot to seal.
Set Instant Pot to manual for 15 minutes.
When pot beeps, allow Instant Pot to natural release. Carefully remove lid.
Ladle the soup into bowls and top with chopped cilantro.
Stove Top
Place all ingredients in a large soup pot and set over medium heat. Simmer on the stove for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
