- How Gratitude Changes Attitude
By recognizing and expressing to God gratitude and thankfulness, you will deepen your faith and grow in wisdom.
Got Gratitude?
In recent years, doctors, psychologists, and experts have recognized that focusing on gratitude helps people live happier lives and even live longer.
As a Christians, you know that gratitude goes much deeper than a daily reflection about the good things you have in life. You give all your thanks and gratitude to the Source of all goodness.
James 1:17 tells us, “ Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” All good gifts you have come from God.
Gratitude is thanking God for the specific blessings He brings into your life.
Gratitude is also honoring and praising God for who He is as your loving Heavenly Father who is worthy of all praise.

How Gratitude Changes Attitude
Use this gratitude daily Bible reading plan to remind yourself of the blessings you must be thankful for.
Thank God for what He has worked in your life.
You can even take this a step further and thank God for your current struggles and challenges.
In this post about gratitude and weight loss, I discussed how seeing the blessings (even if tiny) shifts one’s attitude toward recognizing the positive.
During the last year, when we all faced challenges due to quarantine and Coronavirus, I have seen how a spirit of gratitude has been a positive influence among communities.
Accepting life’s challenges with a spirit of gratitude is no easy task. It requires ongoing, intentional effort and spiritual maturity. However, this tough work is worth it—I have seen the results in my life and in the lives of others around me.

Jan says
My husband died of severe dementia on Sept. 8. I was his caregiver for 8 plus years. I am thankful he is with Jesus and he is whole again and I do not wish for him to be back in his misery here but I feel a sad void being alone after 54 years of marriage.
Sara says
I’m so sorry, Jan. You are going through such a time of loss. Thinking of you. I pray these verses bring you peace today.
Peggy says
Thank you Sara for this opportunity. I am taking care of my 91 year old mother and I have a tooth that has broken off floating around inside my gum – I have posts and a bridge that will require some extensive work to correct my problem. Thank you for praying for me. You are someone I hope to meet someday. 🙂
