Stained Glass Window Cookies Recipe is a perfect Christmas cookie recipe to make with your family. These cookies are super-fun to make and eat, or even poke a hole in the top, add ribbon, and use as Christmas tree ornaments. Creative options are endless with these beautiful cookies that each look like a stained glass window.
Stained Glass Window Cookies have become a tradition in our family and we make them every year at Christmas time. I admit these are not my favorite cookie to eat (you end up with a crunchy cookie more than a soft one), but the kids have so much fun making them and people enjoy receiving them because they are so pretty.

Divide jolly ranchers by flavor.

We enjoy using lots of different fun cookie cutters.

Remove wrappers from Jolly Ranchers. Attempt to stop your family from eating them all before the cookies are made.

Using a food processor, crush jolly ranchers into fine bits or even a powder. You can do this by hand by placing jolly ranchers in a ziplock bag and crushing with a rolling pin, but we found this was difficult. A food processor works much better.

Roll out cookie dough and cut into large shapes. Then, cut a smaller shape in the center of each cookie. Be sure to put the cookies onto a foil-lined cookie sheet. Once the cookie has cooled, peel off the foil.

For the inner, smaller design on each cookie, use a small cookie cutter or simply cut away the center with a butter knife.

Carefully spoon crushed Jolly Rancher into the center of each cookie.

Bake 8-9 minutes or until candy is melted and cookies are set.

A beautiful and tasty Christmas tradition.
