Conversation Topics for Families
Do you ever have a day where you just don’t feel like talking? Or maybe you have been so focused on school, work, or household chores all day that you can’t get your mind shifted to casual conversation. For those evenings when the conversation is sluggish or hard to get started, I have some great Family Conversation Starters for you.
Our family has been using these cards for the last few weeks and it’s been fun to hear everyone’s answers, from younger kids to teens to adults. We pass the cards around before dinner is starting and have each person choose 2 cards, and then we go around and share our answers as we eat dinner.
For years now we have had the habit of sharing highs and lows at the dinner table, where each person shares the best and most challenging thing that happened to them that day. Adding these cards has made the conversation a little more fun and interesting.
Use our conversation starters to open the door to discussions with your child or your husband. Once you get them talking, their answers will take your conversations to a whole new, loving level.
