Through trial and error, and trying a number of recipes we found on Pinterest, we discovered this simple way of making our own Homemade Onion Soup Mix Recipe.
This tastes great in recipes. The only place we notice the difference is in chip dip. It doesn’t taste anywhere close to the same, but we found that adding some chicken bouillon gave it a really rich flavor. I found this all natural chicken broth seasoning that works well:

- ½ cup dried onion flakes or dried minced onion
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1.5 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt (sea salt preferred)
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp italian seasoning
- 2-4 tsp organic chicken broth powder (optional but adds a lot of flavor)
- Combine and store in an air-tight container for up to 6 months.
