In a few weeks I will ride more than 150 miles in the 25th Courage Classic bicycle tour benefiting Children’s Hospital Colorado. The event includes multiple passes through our beautiful Rocky Mountains.
I ride in honor of my 5 year old son, Zack. Zack has a rare genetic metabolic condition called GA1. His body doesn’t properly digest protein, which puts him at risk for having a metabolic crisis (similar to a stroke). When Zack gets sick he needs to be hospitalized, and he follows a very strict low-protein diet.
The money raised at this event goes directly to the clinic where Zack receives his care.
I also ride in this event for myself. A few years ago, I never would have been able to achieve cycling more than a few miles, let alone 150+ miles and over mountain passes! I am celebrating what God has accomplished in my life and how I can use that now to help other people.
If you would like to partner with me in this great event, I would be honored! Please pray for me as I ride July 19-21. I’ll be posting updates on my website, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook pages. Follow along with the fun!
