Candied Pecans are delicious anytime but especially remind me of the holidays. Pecans are a healthy food and a delightful treat. This Candied Pecan recipe makes a great snack for you or a gift for friends.
Candied pecans can be made a number of ways. We chose to make ours with pure maple syrup in order to make this a healthier version of the old fashioned candied pecan recipe that often calls for large amounts of sugar.

Candied Pecans
This delightful treat is good any time of the year but especially around the holidays. With pure maple syrup, you can enjoy small amounts of these candied pecans without the guilt. You can make it with even fewer calories if you use stevia or monk fruit as the sweetener.
Candied Pecans
Ingredients
- 2 cups pecans
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a small bowl, combine the syrup, cinnamon and vanilla. Whisk well.
- Place the pecans into a large bowl.
- Pour the syrup mixture over the pecans and mix to combine.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and spread the pecans on the tray until they are all laying flat.
- Bake for 6 minutes. Remove from oven, stir the pecans (making sure they are laying flat again) and bake for 2-3 more minutes.
- Leave to cool on the pan for 30 minutes and they will harden.
