Lord,

Today, we pray for fathers everywhere.

Bless new and expectant dads. Give them bravery and excitement as they start this new adventure as the leader of a growing family.

Bless fathers of busy little ones. Give dads strength as they balance their work responsibilities with the daily tasks of making meals, changing diapers, and rocking babies, all with interrupted sleep. God, provide them with renewed energy each morning.

Bless dads of school-age children. Let them model humble leadership. Give them patience as they answer endless questions. Allow them to respond to their children with love and patience.

Bless fathers who are parenting during the teen years. Give them the courage to let go when needed and the strength to uphold firm boundaries with love. Help them model respect.

Bless fathers and grandfathers of adult children that they would navigate these changing relationships. Lord, lovingly place your hand over their mouths when the temptation rises to give unwanted advice.

Bless single dads as they do their best to navigate parenting solo. Provide them with support people to hold them up and give them a break sometimes.

Bless dads who are married, that they would love their children by making their spouse a priority.

Bless grandfathers who have the double blessing of being a dad and a grandpa. Let them spoil their grandkids with abandon.

Give peace to fathers who have lost a child and for those struggling with the pain of infertility.

Lord, give all of us eyes to see fathers around us who need our support to be the man of the home as you have designed him to be. May we champion them in this important work.

For dads who are loving and supportive, we thank you.

For dads who are distant or unavailable, we forgive.

Thank you for our dads. They challenge us by their example. We are grateful for their role in our lives.
