Sara’s Review of Banana Oatmeal Cookies
I’ve loved this recipe every since Terry shared it with me, and I’ve made these cookies countless times since then. They are a great recipe to use a very ripe banana, they taste great, and they are so healthy.

My family loves these cookies, too, along with the Monster Breakfast Cookies.

Of course, chocolate chips make everything better, so I almost always add a few to the top of each cookie. Both regular and sugar-free chocolate chips work well.
Answers to FAQs about Two-Ingredient Banana Oatmeal Cookies
How to Make Two-Ingredient Banana Oatmeal Cookies in 2 Easy Steps (with Photos!)

Step 1 – Mix the Ingredients
Preheat your oven to 350℉ (175℃). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with nonstick spray.
Peel the overripe bananas and place them in a mixing bowl. Mash them until smooth using a fork or potato masher.

Stir in the old-fashioned oats until well combined. If you’re adding any optional ingredients like cinnamon, vanilla extract, or chocolate chips, mix them in now.

Step 2 – Bake the Cookies
Use a spoon or cookie scoop to drop heaping tablespoons of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, making 12 cookies. Flatten them slightly with the back of the spoon, as they won’t spread much during baking.

Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until the cookies are firm and lightly golden.

Remove the cookies from the oven. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

I add cinnamon, vanilla and 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips as optional add-ins. They come out to 2 WW points each and are very yummy. I also cooked them an extra 5 min. – Debbie W.
