Paleo/Keto Greek Cabbage with Bacon Recipe

When eating a Paleo, Keto, or Low Carb lifestyle, bacon provides a delicious way to flavor vegetables and this fried cabbage is a perfect example. This keto cabbage recipe is sure to be a favorite.

While the bacon gives this fried cabbage amazing flavor, Greek seasoning takes it over the top with exceptional flavor. If you don’t have Greek seasoning, Italian will also work.

Paleo/Keto Greek Cabbage with Bacon
 
Ingredients
  • 3 Strips of bacon
  • 1 Medium head of cabbage chopped
  • 1 tbsp. Greek seasoning
  • 1 c. Chopped onion
  • ½ c. Low sodium chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Cut the bacon into pieces, and saute in a skillet over medium high heat until lightly crispy.
  2. Add 1 cup of chopped onions to the skillet with the bacon, and saute until tender and translucent.
  3. Mix the chopped cabbage into the onion and bacon mixture in the skillet.
  4. Let the mixture cook down a bit, and then add in pepper to taste and 1 tablespoon of greek seasoning.
  5. Pour in ½ c. of low sodium chicken broth. Continue to cook the cabbage over medium heat until it is tender, and you have reached your desired level of doneness.
  6. Stir in enough salt to taste, and then serve garnished with a squeeze of fresh lemon if desired.

Add 1 cup of chopped onions to the skillet with the bacon and saute until tender and translucent.

Mix the chopped cabbage into the onion and bacon mixture in the skillet.

Let the mixture cook down a bit and then add in pepper to taste and 1 Tablespoon of Greek seasoning.
