Weight Watchers Pizza HomemadeCan I Eat Pizza on Weight Watchers?

When you join Weight Watchers, you might wonder if you can still eat pizza and the answer is YES. You can absolutely still enjoy the foods you love while on the WW program. I’ve lost 100 pounds with the WW program and am maintaining at my goal weight, and you’d better believe I enjoy pizza! I love pizza and have it regularly.

Your first option is to save your daily points and weekly flex points and indulge in a couple delicious slices of your favorite take-out or restaurant pizza. We list some common points for pizza on Weight Watchers below.

You might quickly discover, though, that 20+ points for a couple slices of pizza just isn’t worth it, so that’s where making your own pizza comes in handy, like using our two ingredient pizza dough recipe for the crust.

Weight Watchers Homemade Pizza

This delicious pizza is very low in points and absolutely delicious.
Prep Time15 mins
Cook Time18 mins
Course: American
Cuisine: Dinner
Keyword: Weight Watchers
Servings: 16
Calories: 113kcal
Author: www.theholymess.com

Ingredients

  • 2 cup greek yogurt
  • 2 cup self-rising flour
  • 24 slices turkey pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup fat free mozzarella shredded
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 cup mushrooms

Instructions

  • Combine yogurt and flour until combined into a soft ball.
  • Spray a cookie sheet or pizza stone with cooking spray.
  • Carefully spread dough into a round circle for a round pizza, or press all the way into the corners of the cookie sheet for a rectangle pizza. If dough is too sticky, use additional flour but keep in mind to add extra calories/points.
  • Bake crust at 400 for 5 minutes.
  • Add pizza sauce and toppings. Bake for an additional 15 minutes or until cheese is fully melted and crust is baked as desired.

Notes

Each slice of pizza, when divided into 16 servings, is the following points:
MyWW Green - 3 points per slice
MyWW Blue - 2 points per slice
MyWW Purple - 2 points per slice

Two ingredient dough as a soft ball

Combine flour and part of the Greek yogurt. Slowly add more Greek yogurt until it is a soft ball of dough that is not too sticky.

Pizza dough covering cookie sheet

Carefully press dough onto cookie sheet. You can use a rolling pin but I found it easier to use my fingers dipped in flour to prevent sticking. Sprinkle with additional flour as needed. This takes a bit of patience but is worth the effort to get a crispy crust.

Pre-bake crust for 5 minutes.

2 ingredient dough with pizza toppings

Add pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings of choice. I like loading my pizza with extra veggies. Turkey pepperoni tastes great and is a good points saver.

I used a mixture of fat free and regular shredded mozzarella. I will tell you that I typically hate fat free cheese (which I think tastes like plastic) but when you use it combined with regular, you can’t even tell the difference and you save quite a few points.

Homemade ww pizza with gooey cheese

Yum! With just 2-3 points per slice, you can enjoy several pieces and still be well within your daily points budget. Serve with steamed veggies or a salad.

How to Figure Out Points for Homemade Pizza on Weight Watchers

  • Create a new recipe in the WW Recipe builder on the WW app.

Tips for Making Pizza on WW

Here are some helpful tips for making homemade pizza while you are following the Weight Watchers program.

  • I used a store-bought pizza sauce (Great Value Walmart brand) but you can make your own using tomato sauce and seasoning to save even more points.
  • Weight Watchers 2 ingredient pizza dough can be made ahead of time and kept in the fridge or even frozen for later. Get directions for 2 ingredient pizza dough here.
  • Store left-over pizza in the fridge for 2-3 days (if it lasts that long!) and reheat in the oven or air fryer for a crispy crust.

Ways to Make Weight Watchers Personal Pizza

Here are some ways to make your own personal WW pizza quickly and easily. Sometimes I’ll make one of these for myself when my family has a frozen pizza or take-out and I don’t want to use that many points. Homemade crust is my favorite, but sometimes you just need a quick and easy option and these work.

  • Pizza bagel – Use this 2 ingredient yogurt bagel recipe as the crust for this pizza bagel. This works especially well if you make a batch of bagels in advance and stick them in the freezer.
  • Flatout makes an easy pizza crust.
  • Joseph’s pitas are another low-point crust option.
  • CarbMaster tortillas also work as a crust although it’s a bit tricky to get them not to be too soggy.
  • You can make our 2 ingredient pizza dough in individual portions and keep in freezer for a quick meal.
