What Ingredients Do I Need to Make Taco Pizza?
Here is all you need to make this taco pizza recipe. The toppings are optional, so customize your pizza as you like.
- Two ingredient pizza dough – 1 batch
- fat-free refried beans
- ground turkey
- reduced calorie shredded cheese
- shredded lettuce
- diced tomatoes
- black olives
- salsa
How to Meal Prep Taco Pizza
This pizza is a bit more work than some recipes because you are making the crust by hand plus browning the meat.
- If possible, make the crust in advance and store the ball of dough in your fridge for a few days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
- The next time you make tacos, make a double batch of meat and freeze one portion for later use in this recipe.
What Should I Eat with Taco Pizza?
This is a meal in one, but you can efficiently serve it with a green salad on the side to help add more bulk to the meal.
For a good dessert option, consider trying a banana souffle, loaded with rich banana flavor in each bite.
How Long Does Sheet Pan Taco Pizza Last?
This taco pizza will last 3-4 days when stored in the fridge. The crust will become a bit soggy as it sits. Try reheating it in the air fryer for 5-8 minutes or the oven for 10-12 minutes.
You can eat cold or warm it up if you prefer.
How Do I Store Leftover Weight Watchers Taco Pizza?
I recommend storing it in an airtight container or a sealable bag in the fridge. This will help ensure that other flavors from your fridge do not get into the pizza.
Can I Freeze WW Taco Pizza?
If you freeze this pizza, lettuce or tomatoes should not be on top. You can freeze it in a freezer bag from which you remove all the air.
Or, you can wrap each slice of pizza in plastic wrap and then place it in a freezer container or freezer bag. When ready to eat, thaw in the fridge overnight or slowly defrost in the microwave or oven straight from the freezer.
Answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about Weight Watchers Sheet Pan Taco Pizza
Greek yogurt and self-rising flour are used to make this pizza dough. It is a healthy option that offers all the flavors of pizza dough with some added protein from Greek yogurt.
You can use ground beef, but because the meat has a higher fat content, you will need to adjust the recipe’s calories or points.
Go for it. You can pile on any or all of your favorite pizza toppings—sliced red onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, or even avocados (add after baking and before serving).
How to Make Sheet Pan Taco Pizza in 3,4,5 Easy Steps (with Photos!)
Here are the directions for making this tasty yet healthy pizza.
Step 1: Prepare Dough
Prepare the two ingredients for the dough as directed. Form the dough into a round ball and wrap it in plastic until ready.
Step 2: Roll Out Dough
Preheat the oven, then roll your dough into a flat rectangle to fit your baking sheet, which has been sprayed with cooking spray.
Use your finger to press down on the dough to create indents in the dough. It may seem like the dough won’t be enough, but have patience and keep working it with your fingers. A thinner crust will be more crispy.
Step 3: Bake Dough
Bake the dough for 10 minutes in a preheated oven.
Step 4: Pile On Toppings
Next, you will add your beans, taco meat, and cheese.
Step 5: Bake
Bake again, and once done, remove and pile on all your extra toppings, slice, and serve.
If you are a pizza lover, try this homemade taco pizza that is Weight Watchers-approved, low-calorie, and great for a variety of diets. This will curb any pizza OR taco cravings you’ve had.
