What Does God Say About Stress and Anxiety?
The Bible is clear that we are not to worry because God is in charge of the universe. It’s fair to even go so far as to say that worry is a sin.
We know this in our minds, but getting our hearts and bodies to cooperate can be a totally different situation.
This is an area where most of us struggle, yet the more you can learn to rely on God’s promises of hope, the more you will be able to calm nagging fears, worries, and regret.
Did you know that Satan, the enemy, wants to keep you wrapped up in anxiety and worry? When you are constantly worried, you are less able to live in the freedom God has for you. It’s harder to pursue God’s purpose for your life.
Combat the enemy’s lies by speaking God’s truth. God’s word is the most powerful tool you have to fight back against anxiety.
I encourage you to memorize a few of these Bible verses to speak to yourself, speak out loud, or write out when anxiety hits.

What Does the Bible Say About Worry?
The first and most obvious thing that the Bible says about worry is that God does NOT desire for His children to suffer.
However, the subject has deeper layers that are worth exploring. Although God does not want us to worry, that does not mean He wants us to be irresponsible or uncaring.
The Biblical idea of worry implies an annoying, distracting, or disturbing state of being that keeps us from doing what God calls us to do. As Christians, the gospel captivates our hearts and requires the full capacities of mind.
There are specific things that the Bible commands us not to worry about like food, clothing, and shelter (see Matthew 6:25–34). The more week seek God, we build trust in Him and our worry becomes less. – Compelling Truth
