While I wouldn’t go so far as to consider laughter a workout similar to weight lifting or crunches, I absolutely believe laughter is good for the mind AND the body. Part of why I titled this series WEIRDLY Faithful Fitness is that…we just can’t take ourselves so seriously all the time.
Have you found yourself saying sometime in the last few weeks, “I swear, I’m not making this up…”
I said that this week. Like when one of my kids ate 6 Go-Gurts in a row. Or when a child dressed our cat in baby clothes and said cat was trapped in this clothing, unable to move his legs all night until we rescued him in the morning. I swear, I’m not…oh wait, I already said that.
Life’s weird. God has a plan in the midst of it, though.
These videos about Food and Fitness are by our family’s favorite comedian, Tim Hawkins. They were chosen for you as THE BEST by Rebekah (age 18), Kiersten (age 16), and Josiah (age 13). Consider yourself cool if you enjoy them.

Tim Hawkins is the best. Saw him in concert a couple of years ago.
I never valued laughter before the way that I do now. Fun and laughter are seriously underrated and I find when I’m happy enough to be laughing, I am not thinking about food or eating.
