If you’ve tried plain, non-fat Greek yogurt before and didn’t care for the tart taste, don’t give up just yet. There are a lot of flavoring options and ways to use Greek yogurt in recipes in order to enjoy it. We have gathered 45 ideas below so you are sure to find one that will suite your taste buds.

Think of Greek yogurt as a basic food that you can use in a variety of ways to add more protein and calcium to your diet.
How Many Points is Greek Yogurt on Weight Watchers?
For most members of Weight Watchers, plain yogurt is 0 points or a “free” food. WW only has points for yogurt for diabetic members.
Keep in mind that this is only for the non-fat versions and also for versions with no added sugar.
Plain, non-fat regular yogurt is also zero points, not just the Greek version.
Healthy Ways to Enjoy Plain Yogurt

Note: Many of these recipes call for “sweetener”. Use the artificial sweetener of your choice or a drizzle of honey or small serving of sugar, depending on your preferences. Remember that honey and sugar add additional calories (points).
- Mash up banana and add to Greek yogurt. Add sweetener if desired.
- Mix in frozen, thawed fruit and a bit of sweetener. Frozen mango and frozen berries, thawed, are excellent.
- Use yogurt to make our popular WW 1 point Cheesecake.
- Use plain in place of sour cream, like to top a baked potato or tacos.
- Use in place of sour cream in recipes.

- Mix in sweetener and powdered peanut butter, and it tastes like peanut butter pie. Serve with 2 graham crackers for dipping, or crumble on top.
- Make into zero point Ranch Vegetable Dip.

- Sprinkle pomegranate seeds on top.
- Add sugar-free pudding mix. Lemon is a personal favorite of mine and makes a great fruit dip.
- Chocolate no-sugar added pudding mix added to Greek yogurt tastes like chocolate pie, especially if you serve it with graham crackers for dipping or crush up a few on top.
- Add sugar-free cheesecake flavor pudding mix to make a very thick cheesecake-like dessert.
- Add a packet of Crystal light drink mix or a few drops of Mios water flavoring.
- Add a sprinkle of sugar-free Jell-o mix powder. (This includes gelatin which makes it very thick, so you only need a little bit.)
- Mix Greek yogurt into a smooth. (Note that if you are doing Weight Watchers, fruit is not free when blended into a drink. Use the app feature when creating the recipe that says, “Is this a drink?” The app will add the additional points for you.
- Mix Greek yogurt into soups instead of roux to make the soup thick and creamy.
- Add it to any recipe that is too spicy to tone down the heat.
- Make your own Greek yogurt in the Instant Pot. (I find the flavor is more mind than store-bought.)
- Add a few drops of flavored stevia, like coconut flavored, and eat it as-is, or as a fruit dip.
- Swirl in 1 Tbsp of strawberry jam, either all-natural or no-sugar-added.
- Top with unsweetened applesauce, especially homemade applesauce.
- Use it to make two-ingredient dough, which can be used to make bagels, breadsticks, pizza crust, and more.
- Swirl in a drizzle of lemon curd.
- If you find Greek yogurt to be too sour, try a variety of brands. Tartness and texture vary greatly.
- Cook 1 cup of frozen blueberries with 1/4 cup water and 3 Tbsp sweetener or sugar. Use this as a topping for plain Greek yogurt.
- Mix 1 cup of Greek yogurt with 1 Tbsp of lemon juice and 2 tsp sweetener or sugar. Instead of lemon juice, you can also use True Lemon powder.
- Mix 1/4 cup Greek yogurt into your favorite cup of flavored yogurt to make a larger serving with plenty of protein.
- Make Zero Point Tuna Salad.
- Make Zero Point Egg Salad. Add seasonings like chili powder or curry for creative flavors.
- Make a healthier chicken salad.
- Make pistachio fluff salad and replace some or all of the cottage cheese with Greek yogurt.
- Mix 1 cup of Greek yogurt with 1 tsp cinnamon and 2 tsp of sweetener or sugar.
- Mix equal amounts of Greek yogurt and salsa for a Mexican-style dip or salad dressing.
- Mix 1 cup of Greek yogurt with 1/2 cup plain, canned pumpkin, 2 tsp sweetener or sugar, and 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice. Serve with a side of graham crackers.
- Mix in vanilla, almond, or coconut extract and sweetener or sugar.
- Mix 1 cup of Greek yogurt with 1/2 cup of finely diced or shredded apples. Top with 1 Tbsp of chopped walnuts.
- Mix 1 cup of Greek yogurt with 1/2 tsp instant coffee granules, 1 tsp cocoa powder, and 2 tsp sweetener or sugar. Allow to sit in the refrigerator for at least one hour. Stir and enjoy.
- Mix in frozen cherries, thawed, with juice. Top with sliced almonds.
- Mix in sugar-free coffee syrup or creamer.
- Mix in fresh dill and chopped cucumber to make tzatziki sauce. Serve with Greek recipes, like these Greek chicken and veggie kebabs.
- Top with Kashi Go Lean cereal, Grape Nuts, or a low-fat granola.
- Drizzle with sugar free maple-flavored pancake syrup.
